The Clydesdale Breeders of the USA (CBUSA) is pleased to announce six individuals who will serve as official judges for the 2018 World Clydesdale Show (WCS), Oct. 25th - 28th, in Madison, WI.

The judges span across the U.S. and Canada, and will be responsible for evaluating and placing over 600 best-of-breed Clydesdales from around the world in over 100 classes. Each judge, based on their individual expertise and experience, will be assigned to a certain type of class or classes.

The presiding judges, as selected by the CBUSA's Board of Directors and based on nominations submitted by association members, are as follows:

ALAN FREITAG, The Plains, VA
MARE HALTER CLASSES & FOAL SPECTACULAR PANEL

CHAD COLE, Centre Hall, PA
STALLION HALTER CLASSES & FOAL SPECTACULAR PANEL

JASON HONSBERGER, Defiance, OH
GELDING HALTER CLASSES, HITCH CLASS PANEL & FOAL SPECTACULAR PANEL

MARILYN WEBER, Chesterfield, IL
RIDING/PLEASURE CLASSES

GERALD ALLEBACH, Spring Mills, PA
HITCH CLASS PANEL

RYAN BLACKFergus, Ontario, Canada
HITCH CLASS PANEL

As noted above, a 'panel' of judges has been announced to evaluate the hitches at the 2018 WCS. We are excited to help set a new standard with this process and for it to be a part of this event for the benefit of all exhibitors.

The three selected industry experts will work together as a team to determine results. Each judge will complete their own judges card and place the class. Cards will then be turned into the show clerk for final, cumulative calculation of results, and then posted in a specified area upon completion of the classes.

A panel of judges will also be used in the Foal Spectacular event.
