The Story of the 2018 World Clydesdale Show Logo

Designing an original logo that combines the excitement of the World Clydesdale Show with the presence of the city of Madison isn't easy. But it was a challenge Kayle Grott was more than willing to take on.

Kayle is from New Holstein, WI where he and his family own and operate Briarwood Clydesdales.

But that's not the extent of Kayle's involvement in draft horses. In 2012, he started the World Draft Horse Network, an international web-based resource featuring classified ads for draft horses and related equipment.

Part of his responsibilities with the World Draft Horse Network? Graphic design. So when the call came for entries to put together a 2018 World Clydesdale Show logo, he answered.

"I am a Wisconsin native," says Kayle. "I wanted to highlight the city of Madison with the skyline with my entry. It had to look official and prestigious."

Mission accomplished. His logo was selected and is now the official mark of the 2018 World Clydesdale Show.

Special thanks to Kayle for his submission and his creativity. Be on the lookout for him and his family at next year's World Show. They plan on taking part in the event and showing at least 4 home-raised mares.
